Confession; I'm pretty pissed off with the AM fanbase sometimes. It's like we're not friends,like we don't connect the way you do in other fandoms. Wouldn't it be great if we were more like a single group of friends welcoming anyone, instead of judging by what albums and songs and band members we like? Or is it just me?

I really don’t get it when people say Favourite Worst Nightmare is their best album. I mean, this album is AMAZING, but dude, Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not is the best thing in the world. And I hate when people say they don’t like Suck It And See. This album is their second best for me… but I get REALLY MAD when they say they don’t like the song “Suck it and See”, when they say “oh, it’s just another love song, nothing much. “Be Cruel To Me, ‘Cuz I’m A Fool For You” <— those lyrics are just the most beautiful thing in the world, how can a song be bad having those lyrics that look like poetry?

I think Jamie is charming and I like that he still sounds like a child. I personally think he has the best hair in the Suck It And See-era. And in Humbug… Words can’t describe how amazing the long hair and beard was. I love that he always has red cheeks. It gives him a sort of innocence. And in “The View From…” videos where Alex is asking who wants margaritas and Jamie is just dancing really weirdly and raises his hand stiffly. I laughed so hard. And there’s no denying his guitar-skills, and the way he pouts his lips when he’s playing. These boys just make me so happy all the time.

His eyes. Green and so beautiful. If I ever lock eyes with him, I would probably pass out. I love his voice when he talks, how deep and raspy it is. It’s in the same category as Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson. His bass lines are incredible. It’s a melody of it’s own. I just love how the sound of his bass isn’t being swallowed up by the sound of the other instruments like other bands. I love his smile and how he has laugh lines. And his short hair in the Humbug-era. I would bring that back if I could. And i absolutely adore his back-up vocals, especially in R U Mine? Makes me want to hug him.

This man, this agile beast. What would Arctic Monkeys be without Matthew J. Helders III? He inspired me to learn the drums. When I listen to their songs like, Secret Door, My Propeller, Do Me A Favour and Pretty Visitors, I think, “WHAT HAS THIS MAN BEEN DRINKING?” His beats are mental. And the faces he makes when he’s playing live! Adorable. And we all know him of course, for his sense of humour. He really is quite funny. I went through a phase where I watched every video of “The View From…” repeatedly and thought about how he switches from a drumming rockstar to an endearing sweetheart who does laundry and calls track bottoms “joggers”. Love him.

I love that Alex is still a little awkward. Regardless of the change of style, he’s still the boy from Sheffield we all fell in love with. Sometimes when I look at him, it’s hard to believe that he wrote such fantastic lyrics — lyrics that every human on the planet can relate to. I will always admire him for his ability to write lyrics that are “real”. And his voice. How many nights have I fallen asleep listening to his voice? The moment his voice reaches my ears, it melts away my raging thoughts and emotions. I hope that one day, I’ll be able to thank him for giving me such comfort. I owe him for that.

I believe that one day Arctic Monkeys will come down to Asia soon for a few concerts, but deep down inside, I know that it's a fat chance. It makes me really sad that I will never get to meet my music idols.
